Natural Wedding Makeup

This look is great for every skin tone it will give you that radiant in-love-glow. It is very soft and obviously natural as it says in the title :p It even looks good with glasses! ;) But of course you don't have to be getting married to wear this look. Its perfect for school, work, dates, parties, you name it! Of course before your wedding do a trial test to see if you like the makeup. Not just for this one, but if you decide to have it done have a trial and make sure you like it. You don't want to break out from something the day of your wedding, or hate the way you look.

First things first skin care is the most important step to makeup. You need to wash your face two times a day, especially at night! I cannot stress how important it is to get off the makeup before you sleep! Three steps, cleanser, toner, moisturizer. Do not tug when cleansing your face this cause premature wrinkles! Always always always do these three steps.

Today we will do things a bit differently, start off with your usual moisturizer, and foundation, and powder. But do not put concealer on underneath your eyes. That will be last because we will be using loose powder for the eyes and you will get fall outs (eyeshadow will fall underneath your eyes) You are however allowed to apply it everywhere else like your nose, mouth and other red areas or blemishes.

For the foundation we want to use airbrush makeup, however most of us cannot afford an airbrush machine so we will use the drug store brand Sally Hanson Airbrush Makeup which works amazingly. Spray it all over your face and use a stippling brush or powder brush and apply evenly all over your face. This helps to create that airbrush look, it really does work and it is super cheap! Next for powder I am using Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil to finish off my airbrush look. This helps give a finish to the look and also set the makeup. Apply some powder into the cap and swirl your brush until it collects all the powder then apply evenly on your face.

Next apply concealer everywhere you need it except for underneath your eyes. Now apply a eyeshadow primer to your eyelids.

Take a shimmery white eyeshadow and apply it to your eyelid, the inner corner of your eyes and also right on the brown bone. This is just highlighting key areas. Now you want to take your eyeshadow which today we will be using Anastasia eyeshadow, this actually came in a kit with eyebrow gel and a bunch of other goodies. I searched Sephora and they don't have it out anymore. But no worries :) There are a billion other colors like them on the market ;) We will start with the darker color first (on the left)

Apply all over your lid to your crease with your finger. Your finger works best for loose powder because not a lot of color will stay on the brush to apply. So it will take twice as long with a brush than with your hands. Then take the lighter color (on the right) and apply from your crease to your brow bone with your ring finger. I found its better and easier to use your ring finger. This helps create definition, and don't worry about covering the white up. Next you will take the shimmery white and apply it right on your brown bone again blending into the brown. As you can see the color is very light, and that is on purpose.
You want to make it look like you are not wearing any makeup at all. Now take a flat brush and dip it in the darker color and apply right under your lashline. It will be light but that is what we want, you can make it darker if you would like.

Eyeliner is next, first you will tightline (line the upper waterline near your lashes) Take a black pencil, I am using a MAC pencil. Line your eye and try not to blink right after you have finished, this will trace the black to your lower waterline. Tightlining makes your eyelashes appear fuller and gives your eyes a shape. Next we will be using purple eyeliner. I am using Smashbox's purple pencil eyeliner. Any purple will do. Line your eyes as close to the lashes as possible, don't worry about if the line is straight or not. That is easily fixed, take your finger or an eyeliner smudge brush and smudge the liner and then apply more eyeshadow on top to give it a softer feel. Then line your waterline and right above your lashes. If you got any black on your lower waterline that is fine you can wipe away with a finger then apply the purple over it.

Next curl your lashes, apply mascara. Then fill in your eyebrows and after you fill them in apply a brow gel to make them stay in place. I don't know about you but I have trouble with them staying put they sometimes point out or go the opposite way I want them too. If you don't have eyebrow gel, Pomade works just as well. Just take your finger and apply a tiny amount of gel over them. Don't put too much you don't want to make them look glossy :p Then take an eyebrow brush and point those stubborn hairs to go the way you want them.

Now take a tissue and clean underneath your eyes. Then apply your concealer, yes I know you have color underneath your eye, but you can always reapply that if needed. Then apply mascara to your lower lashes.

For cheeks you want that blushing bride look so take Smashbox's O-glow blush and apply it from the apple of your cheeks to your cheek bones, blend well. This particular blush comes out white and will turn to pink as soon as it hits your skin. It blends really well and give just the right amount of color. Then take your highlighter and apply right on the top of your cheeks. For highlighter I am using my favorite High beam by Benefit.

For lips apply your highlighter at the cupids bow (top of your lips) and right underneath your lower lip. Then take a dark red lipstick apply on your lips with a lip brush. Applying with a lip brush helps give your lips a more defined shape. It also helps you to keep within the lines of your lips and leaves room for fewer mistakes.

Finished! Now add a white dress and a veil and you're ready to walk down the isle! ;)

Softest Touch

Okay ladies, I have a fast post for you tonight. First off, thank you all for your sweet comments on not only my Halloween makeup tutorials but my blog in general. :) You are all too kind! You make me want to do more and more! So a big huge thanks you! :D

So its winter now and that means cold weather, but so what! That doesn't mean you have to hide those legs and let them get furry :p I know I posted something about smooth legs but this is better ;)

First the razor is the key component and possibly the most important. You cannot use just any old razor, the cheap ones are the worst and it will show on your legs. Do you cut yourself in the shower? That is probably from your razor, I hardly ever cut my legs while shaving. Mens' razors are the best choice, while they are more pricey they are also worth it. Why they don't make woman's razors like a Mans I will never know. The best bet is to go to Costco and buy a big pack which will last you at least 6 months.

Next you want a body scrub. This helps get the dead skin off and soften it. It relaxes the hairs and give you a closer shave. The Body Shop is one of my favorite ones, you won't believe how soft your legs are once you get out of the shower! Lather up all over your legs and scrub then rinse and shave with your leg underneath the water. Scrub also works good on your underarms, for a closer smoother shave. It also helps irritation.

Lastly you need a good lotion, body butter is your best bet. Once again The Body Shop is my favorite. If you are hesitant to buy the scrub and lotion because it is a little more than you wanted to pay, you can go to The Body Shop and ask for a demonstration. They will put the scrub and lotion on your hand for a trial to see if you like it. Put the lotion on right after your shower to soak in the moisture.

TA DA! :D Your legs will feel so soft you will ask everyone to feel them :p So get ready to bear those legs ladies!

If you have and questions or comments feel free to drop me an email at:

Comic Book Girl tutorial

I am extremely proud of this look, and for the longest time I couldn't come up with "unique" Halloween tutorials, because basically any tutorial you want you can find online, so I tried to do ones that weren't already done, or done in a good fashion :p This is perfect for those Halloween parties you want to impress people or even trying to win a cash prize ;)

First you want to start off with a fresh clean face, moisturize and apply primer. Your foundation should be at least three shades lighter for this look, but really you can just use your regular foundation. I used Roy Lichtenstein's artwork as reference. The whole process will take you sometime so be patient.

Next sculpting the eyebrows, take a liquid eyeliner and fill them completely in. Make them dramatic, have the beginning of the eyebrows squared off and the ends come to a point. Really give them shape and definition.

Now for your eyes, it is really up to you how you want to make your eye look, I played with a couple different eyeliner looks and my favorite was the chunky wing. Take a liquid eyeliner I am using Telescopic liquid eyeliner by L'Oreal and play around with it, have makeup remover hand though ;) it really helps, trust me :p I also applied a little eyeshadow, just a light pink above the eyeliner (if you do this you will have to outline the black again) Take a shimmery white and apply it right under your brows. Take your liquid eyeliner and create a line an inch below your waterline, this makes your eyes appear doll-like and really makes them look larger. Apply false eyelashes, just get any big dramatic ones you'd like, any will do really. I am using Lash 4 by MAC. Take a white eyeliner and fill in the gap between your water line and the line you just created. Make sure you also fill in your water line as well. More is better in this case, this is creating that doll like eye. Making it appear larger and more open.

Next outline your lips, mistakes are okay just try to keep your hand as straight as possible. After you have your lips outlined take a red lipstick, not stain, not lipgloss, actual lipstick, and apply all over your lips make sure you get the corners as well! After you filled in the lips then you can fix and mistakes, use makeup remover to erase and then redraw. It may take you a few times, it did me anyways.

Last but not least is the red dots. Take a red lip liner and point on your face and twist it the tiniest bit to get the round shape. They should be in line with each other, which mine are not because I did this blind :p I don't know what happened to my contacts so I just did it blind :p but keep them in line if you can, and hey if they aren't who cares? Make sure you do your neck and right underneath your eyebrows. The best part about this look is that if you have pimples you can hide them with the lip liner!

Lastly is a wig a blonde wig is a better choice, you can also add lines for more definition like Lichtenstein does in his cartoons ;) Prepare to get complements! ;)

Hope you have enjoyed this tutorial I sure enjoyed making it for you guys :) If you have any questions, comments, advice, etc. Let me know! :D Email me!

Princess Peach Tutorial

I love the old Nintendo Mario games, Super Mario Bros 3 was my favorite :) So I thought of doing an easy and quick tutorial for those last minute Halloween parties.

First apply an eyelid primer to make the colors pop, especially with pink because sometimes the color is not bright enough to see. Apply a bright pink eyeshadow all over your eyelid. I used my Coastal Scents 88 palette. Any pink will be fine. Next apply a dark purple color to the crease for definition and for a pretty color palette. Buff the color up towards your brow bone. Next take a pearl shimmery white color and apply it right on your brow bone. Blend the color down to the purple to fade the purple out. The purple should be dark in the crease and light toward the brow bone.

For eyeliner I used a felt tip eyeliner pen, but you are welcome to use liquid eyeliner. I prefer to use the felt tip for this specific look because you can manipulate the brush to your liking. Create a line beginning from the inner corner of your eye to the outer corner, wing it out. For best results start the line in the middle of your eye and work your way out. Make the line thicker toward your outer corner and wing it out. If you make any mistakes use a q-tip with a little bit of makeup remover.

Next take a white eyeliner and line your waterline. Really pack that eyeliner on, you want to brighten up your eyes and also give them a doll like appearance.

For eyebrows, lightly fill them in, I used a light brown to just color them in. You want to keep them light especially if you are going to be wearing a blonde wig.

Next apply the individual false lashes, apply them to the outer corner of your eyes. Two or three should be sufficient enough. Heat your lash curler, then curl your lashes with the fake lashes and apply mascara. Heating your eyelash curler acts as a curling iron for them. Make sure its not too hot to put on your eyelid though. Just warm enough to curl them. I didn't apply the fake lashes because I like the way my lashes looked. Curl your lashes again to give them an extra boost.

The finished eye should look like this:

Cheeks are next, no not those ones :p Use a really pinky color. I used my Smashbox O-Glow blush. Which comes out of the tube clear but when applied on skin turns pink. Apply it to the apple and your cheek bones. Blend really well so the color is not as strong. You want to have a pink glow, not a i-obviously-put-blush-on look.

For the lips, well Peach has really tiny lips. But I lined my lips with a pink color and put a peach lip gloss on. You can exaggerate her lips if you would like, it is really up to you :)

If you have brown hair like I do, get a blonde wig. I made a paper crown out of construction paper and glued little craft gems to it for just a simple Princess look. Her crown is really tiny so one piece of construction paper should be fine. And to secure the crown so it doesn't fall off your head you can use blonde bobby pins. :)

VIOLA! DONE! :D You have now been transformed into Princess Peach :) If you have any questions, comment, concerns, complaints ect. Email me! :)

Mermaid Tutorial

Ever since I was a litter girl I loved the Little Mermaid, I always wanted to live under the sea. :P So of course I had to do a mermaid tutorial! I am so proud of how this one turned out! I really love these colors together they work well especially with green eyes.

I am going to skip to the eyeshadow part instead of going over the whole foundation routine. Since I must have drilled it into your heads by now. :p
First step you want to put eye primer on, since the colors will be very vibrant you want to make sure they pop. I wanted the green to stand out most on my eyelid more than any other colors, so I used my waterproof pencil from Cargo. Take the green pencil and color in your entire eyelid, making sure you get the inner and outer corners of your eyes. Then trace the green color underneath your bottom lash line keep the line close to the rim of your eye. Also apply the green to your waterline, the color won't be as vibrant here but the light will still pick it up. Now take the dark blue pencil and color right above the green starting at the crease. This color is used to give your eyes some definition, the color is very bold so you need to tone it down a bit. Use a blending brush and take a light green eyeshadow, I am using MAC's Sweet & Punchy and apply over the dark blue pencil to fade it out a bit. Take that same green color and apply it from the crease to your brow bone.

The next part is probably the hardest; applying the crystals. I am using Swarovski crystals because I think they stand out more than regular ones, you can buy a pack of these at Jo-ann, Hobby Lobby or any arts and craft stores. You want to apply these with eyelash glue since the crystals will be near your eye and regular glue could get in your eye and super glue could glue your eye shut :p I am using Duo Adhesive lash glue it is my favorite and helps not only lashes to stay on but whatever you glue to your face :p I glued seven of the crystals to my face, you can glue however many you'd like and in any area you would like :) After you have applied the crystals take the light green and apply around the crystals to make it look as if the crystals were a part of your body.

Next apply the fake lashes, I would suggest using lashes but of course you don't have to. I am using blue lashes, you could also use blue mascara if you didn't want to use lashes. After applying the lashes take a glitter liner I am using NYX Glitter Liner and apply it to the fake lashes to give them a sparkle. Apply generously and make sure you don't have clumps here and there. If you haven't already fill in your eyebrows I did them a lot darker than I usually do, to give my face more of a dramatic look.

This is the fun part, creating the scales. Take fishnet stockings and hold it where you want the scales to go, and then apply color to the stocking. Pull the stocking off and TADA! :D I used a dark green, light green and a yellowish orange for the scales. You can use whatever color you see fit :) I also applied some scales to my hands and random spots on my arm. Just for an added effect.

Last step is the lips, I just took a light pink lip pencil and filled in my lips then took a shimmery white eyeshadow and applied in the middle of my lips. You can also apply the white eyeshadow all over your face to add extra shimmer.

Done! This is how your finished eye should look :)

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If you have any questions, comments, complaints, or ideas email me :) I'd love to hear from you!

Belle - Halloween Tutorial

This is the first of my Halloween tutorials, I wanted to start with something easy then work up to the best ones. Don't worry I will have you wowed ;) The anticipation is killing you isn't it?

I choose Belle because she is very soft and come on, who doesn't want to look like her really? I thought it would even be a good look for a first date! This look will look good on anyone, the colors are neutral and romantic. For inspiration I even watched the movie Beauty and the Beast :)

I will also show you how to do your hair like her at the end of this tutorial, I didn't use a wig since I already had long brown hair of course :p

First are the same steps as always moisturizer, and face primer. They will forever be the first steps to any makeup you apply. Next is foundation, Belle has a really flawless skin, so you want to make sure your skin looks flawless as well. For this I suggest using a liquid foundation, it is the easiest to blend. I applied two coats of Loreal's True Match, Super Blendable Makeup in ivory. I spot treated my cheeks a third time to rid my cheeks of their rosy color. Now take your powder I am using Smashbox's Halo powder, and take a big fluffy brush and lightly dust all over your face. By doing so you are sealing the foundation, giving it a more finished look, and giving an airbrush type of effect. Next concealer, apply this under your eyes, sides of your mouth, sides of your nose, where any redness occurs and any blemish or imperfection you want to hide. Now define your eyebrows, Belle's eyebrows are thin and roundish shaped; however do not worry about following her exact look, because what looks good on a cartoon doesn't necessarily mean it will look good on you too :p So follow the natural shape of your eyebrows, filling in any areas where the hairs are sparse.

The next step is eyeshadow, now you can basically do whatever you want for this part but I decided to do very light subtle pinks to keep this looking natural and soft. I first applied some eye primer, when I doing natural and not so bright colors I like to apply Smashbox's eyelid primer more than using my MAC one. So for this case I used Smashbox's eyelid primer. I applied a shimmery pink eyeshadow to my lid, then a lighter pink to my crease and up to my brow bone, then applied a light shimmery white to my brow bone. I also applied the white to the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up a bit. Then I wet my brush with water and dipped it in the pink shimmery eyeshadow again and applied it to the center of my lid to make the color more visible. The colors are a little hard to see with the camera but you get the idea.

The middle color is the color I used for my lid, the pink was for the crease and white for brow bone and inner corners.

Now time for eyeliner, I used my Stila Black Cat eyeliner I was going to use liquid eyeliner, but I was afraid that the look would loose its soft and romantic feel so I opted out and used the Stila one instead. Start from the middle and work your way out to the outer corners. Wing the eyeliner out for a cat eye look. If you notice Belle has three distinct eyelashes, and winging the eyeliner out is creating the first one. Then go back to the middle where you started the line and trace along all the way to the inner corner. Belle's eyes are very defined with black, so you want to do the same.

Next step is fake eyelashes, you can buy these at any drug store. For this look we will use individual eyelashes, which can be tricky. Take your glue and apply a little tine tiny dot on your finger, not directly on the lash. You have to work fast because the glue dries fast. Take the lashes you want to apply, I chose the longest ones, and stick the end of the lash in the glue let the glue get tacky for 20 seconds and apply to the corner of your lash line. Repeat this step again with another lash and apply right next to it. Then curl your lashes, but be careful because the lash curler could bend your lashes. I tried to only curl my real lashes, however it may be a better idea to curl your lashes before applying the lashes :p If you want, instead of individual lashes, you can buy any regular size drug store lashes, cut them in half and apply them to the outer half of your lashes. Apply your favorite mascara.

The next step is highlighting, as you can see in my picture above my cheeks are very illuminated. To do this I first applied a soft pink blush, Bare Minerals Laughter, to my cheek bones and apples of my cheeks. Then I applied Benefit's High Beam and a lot of it. I applied this all over the apples of my cheeks, until I got that super glow. I also applied it above my eye brows and right above my lips and below my lower lip.

The second to last step you want to make your nose look smaller, more cartoon like. Belle's nose is really small, so we want to get that look. This is done with a light brown color. Just take your brush and follow the lines of your nose looking straight into the mirror. To soften the harsh edges take a fluffy brush and light brush over them. This sounds weird I know but it really does make a difference ;)

The very last step is lips. Belle has light pink lips which are very defined. I took a lip brush and outlined my lips with my concealer. To define them and give them a perfect shape. You can basically create any shape you want. Take a light pink lipstick color on a lip brush to fill them in. I am using an Estee Lauder light pink lipstick.

FINISHED! :D Now time for hair, wash your hair and if you have flat and lifeless hair, apply a rootlifter in your hair before it dries, or before you dry it. I just let my hair air dry since it dries curly. Belle's hair has her hair parted and pulled back on either side to the back of her head. I pulled my back at my side part with bobby pins, pushing them forward on my face a bit. Then I took my hair and pulled half of it up in a pony tail and made it into a bun, leaving some hair down. I then took an extention pony tail hair piece and clipped it right under the bun pushing it forward. Belle's hair is very neat and in place, however my hair was a bit on the messy side and I liked the look of it, you can create a cleaner look with hair spray and curling irons or just buy a wig :p Pony tail extensions are really cheap, around $20 that is for synthetic hair, the real hair ones are a lot more pricey. As long as you take care of the synthetic ones you will be just fine with them :) DO NOT WASH THEM. That ruins them and makes them frizz. Get a wig brush and only brush the hair with that brush. Others will pull the hairs out.

The first picture is the clip in, and the second is my real hair with the bun.

If you have any comments, questions or suggestions please feel free to email me :) Oh and please send in any ideas you have for makeup tutorials for Halloween. I will try to do all of them plus my own ideas ;) Stay tuned! Email at:

Sexy Sweetheart

I know it has been awhile since my last post and I am sorry it has taken me so long to do one! I finally have one for you and this one is a good one ;) I love this makeup its great for basically anything. I love how dramatic it makes my eyes look. Its a soft, feminine but also sexy look.

Step one is always the same and never will change. ;) Moisturize and apply primer. I'm of course using my trusty Smashbox primer. There are cheaper versions of course the MAC one is great as well. Next apply foundation I'm using Smashbox's High Definition foundation. Next apply powder to set the foundation, I'm using Halo by Smashbox.
Don't apply concealer yet, since you are using a lot of color little pieces will fall and create dark circles. We want to keep this look looking clean. To do so you will need to have tissue at hand to wipe brushes and your eyes at times. Make sure also to have q-tips and eye makeup remover handy just in case you make any mistakes. Fill in your eyebrows with light hair-like strokes.

Eye primer is key to make the colors stand out. I am using my favorite Painterly by MAC. This is seriously the best eye primer ever. I love the way the colors stand out. Apply all over your eye dabbing with your ring finger. Wait for it to dry before you apply any color.

I am using my Coastal Scents palette for almost all the colors in this look. The first color we want to start with is some purples. I took three purples and applied all over my eyelid to create my own color. I love the way the three colors look. Instead of using brushes I used my fingers, I suggest you do the same. You can control what area gets color and what doesn't.

Next take a light peachy pink and apply from your crease to almost to your brow bone. I'm using a peach from MAC. You can use any peachy color you want. Blend the color and fade it out a bit. I am using MAC 275 blending brush. This is my favorite brush ever. I use it all the time for blending and applying. The right brushes definitely make a difference. Cheap brushes that work well are Kirkland's from Costco. You get 5 or so brushes. They are pretty amazing, I am hooked on a few of them as well.

Next I took a bright pink color and applied it in the right hand corner of my eyelid. Just take your finger and lightly sweep the color across the darker purple. Next I took two browns and applied them right under my brow bone just above my crease. This give the pink a darker color and a little bit more depth. I just love how all these colors look together :) Take your blending brush and blend the colors together. But lightly blend cause you don't want the colors to look muddy. Then apply a pearl white color on your brow bone and blend into the browns. The last bit of color you add is the bright pink again and apply right under your lower lash ling for some added color. I am using MAC's 219 Pencil Brush. This is perfect for your lower lash line and even gets between the lashes. Then take a black color with the same brush and apply over the bright pink on your lower lash line. This gives you a smokey effect. Just one sweep is good enough, you don't want to over power the pink.

Next is my favorite part. Apply false lashes. I love how dramatic your lashes look with fake lashes. If you have never used false lashes, you really do not know what you are missing! Its not just for people with short lashes, I have long lashes and still love false lashes ;) You can use any lashes of your choice. I am using MAC's lashes. I simply adore these lashes they are great quality and can be used numerous amount of times. However drugstore lashes work just as well :) They are really cheap too! :D You want to apply a thin strip of glue along the lashes and then wait 30 seconds for it to get tacky. There are no tricks I can give you for this one, you just have to practice. You won't get them on the first try so don't get frustrated. Just keep trying, applying fresh glue each time. The best glue out there is the Duo Adhesive. The lashes stay put all day long and wont budge.

Now to hide the line of the lashes and make them blend better we will take a liquid eyeliner. I am using LOreal's Telescopic Liquid Eyeliner. Steady your hand and rest it on your cheek. Start from the middle and work your way out to the outer corner. I created a tiny wing at the corner, you don't have to do this I just liked the way it looked with the lashes giving me a cutesy girl look. Make sure you trace the inner corner as well to give your eye depth and shape. Make the line thicker towards the outer corner and thinner towards the inner corner. If you make a mistake when you are creating the wing take the q-tip and dip it into some makeup remover and wipe away your mistake. Wait for it to dry and try again. Just be patient. Don't worry about messing up, I messed up a few times on my left eye. :p

Now we want to brighten up the eyes just a tad bit. Take a white eyeliner and trace right inside your water line. I am using Ulta's Brand which is light enough to give me a little brightness but not look trashy :p Wipe any fallouts (any eyeshadow that may have fallen underneath your eye) with the handy dandy tissue you have and apply concealer. Also apply concealer to the sides of your nose and around your lips to give them a more defined look. Also to any blemishes you may want to hide.

For the blush you want a dark pink, no matter your skin tone. It looks best with this look. I am using Bare Escentuals So Fab. Start from your cheekbones and work your way down. Make sure you have a good brush that blends so if you have too much color on one cheek you can easily tame it down. For a "I'm in love" glow, take Benefit's High Beam highlighter and apply on the apples of your cheeks and above your eyebrows. My secret to looking gorgeous and flawless ;)

Final step, Lips, I am using Very Sexy E32 Sleek. Apply a lip balm on your lips to moisten them up a bit and then apply the lipstick. Make sure you get the corners of your mouth as well. It looks silly when you smile and your lips aren't all one color :p

And viola ladies! You are now gorgeous-er :p I hope you love this look as much as I do. :) If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions. Please do email me :)
